Parts Crossover Index

Okay, you're out in the middle of nowhere (or even in a typical Midwestern city) and you need a couple of things to get you back on the road, or just to finish the weekend's tinkering.  You check every auto parts store you can get to, and NONE of them even have a listing for what you need!  ARGGGGHHHHHH!!!

This is how I spent my afternoon today.  After I calmed down a bit, I realized that I had an opportunity to save others from this heartache.  So after a little reasearch, I put together the following table.  While I cannot guarantee absolute accuracy (heck, even the people that make these parts don't guarantee that), this stuff is right as far as I can determine.

Part numbers in BOLD UNDERLINE are ones I've personally used.

At this point, the list is mostly Rubber Bumper Midget parts (Click Here for the Z Magnette Suspension List).  If you know of useable crossovers for other Midgets or reasonable substitutions, let me know so I can add it to the list!  Manufacturer and part number information will be most helpful, but if you can just tell me where you got it and their part number, I'll try to dig up the details from that.

My thanks to the following contributors, MG, or Spridget List memebers: Ricahrd D. Arnold, Frank Clarici, Dave Groundwater, Rick Morrison, David Riker.

Needless to say, these oil filters aren't too hard to find...
*NOTE: I have been informed that the FRAM PH3614 DOES NOT fit. Odd, because I have used it myself. Perhaps the fitting changed between '75 and '79?

Air Filter

AC A808C
BECK/ARNLEY 042-0521
BOSCH 73253
FORD D1RY-9601-B
HASTINGS AF-414
LUCAS F9198
MOTORCRAFT FA98A
NAPA 2151
WIX 42151

Lincoln-Mercury Capri  '72 - 74

Good luck actually finding one of these air filters on short notice.  As you can see, there's only one other car that used this filter, and there aren't many of the old Capris still on the road (tinworm got most of them, at least anywhere they used salt on the roads).

Oil Pressure Sender (Electric)

Wells PS24

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle w/230 CID six cylinder

This oil pressure sender fits the later 1500s that have an "idiot light" on the dash, rather than an oil pressure gauge.  Note: if that light goes on, shut the car off NOW, since it only goes on at 10PSI or lower.

Fuel Pump

I've been told that there's at least one available mechanical replacement that bolts right on, but nobody's given me a part number yet.  Anybody have any ideas?

Small and Big Block Chevy's from '55 through '90, and is the flat metal / fiber style

Exhaust Flange Gasket (Head Pipe to Pipe Assembly)

McCord  820047

Ford four cylinders from '71 through '86 and Ford six cylinders from '63 through '68, and is a solid metal donut.

Amplifier Module for the later Lucas Model 45DM Electronic Distributor (The one with the separate finned module.)

Most anyplace:
Borg Warner Part No:CBE4P

When you remove the bottom cover of the remote amplifier there is a boomerang shaped plastic thingy.  That is the actual amplifier, and it interchanges with the GM X-car (Citation, Phoenix) module.  Also fits Fiat Spider and about a dozen other 4 cylinder engines, so it is really common.  (Thank you to David Riker from the Spridgets List for this tip!)

Midget Mk 3

Purolator L10028
Purolator PER28 (Old system)
